Fez Morocco to Marrakech

Day 1Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Depart early from Fes and travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary macaque monkeys. Continue through the scenic Ziz Valley before reaching the Merzouga Desert. Upon arrival, enjoy a camel trekking adventure across the Erg Chebbi dunes and witness a magical Sahara sunset. Dinner and overnight stay in a Luxury Desert Camp under a starry sky.

Day 2Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After breakfast, visit Rissani, the ancient capital of the Tafilalet region and gateway to the Sahara. Explore its traditional souks before continuing toward the spectacular Todra Gorges, a paradise for hikers and photographers. Enjoy lunch near the cliffs, then drive through the Dades Valley, famous for its red rock formations and scenic kasbahs. Dinner and overnight in a charming riad overlooking the valley.

Day 3Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Aït Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Continue to Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) to reach Marrakech by evening.
