Book the 2 Days Desert Tour From Ouarzazate now for a seamless, immersive escape, and trust our team to deliver an exceptional 2 Days Desert Tour From Ouarzazate tailored to your interests.
Departing at 8:30 a.m., you head south from Ouarzazate toward Agdez, crossing the Tizi-n-Tinfifte pass in the Anti-Atlas and descending to reveal the vast Dra’a Valley with its thousands of palm groves; moreover, these groves produce some 44 varieties of dates, so you may sample exceptionally fresh fruit during the harvest that begins as early as September. After following the historic caravan route away from the main road, you arrive at Tinsouline and can take a short off-road detour to view the remarkable Foum Chenna rock carvings, which date back about 4,000 years, before continuing to Zagora for lunch and a quick overlook of its extensive oasis. In the afternoon, you proceed further south to M’hamid, the gateway to the Sahara and the end of the paved road, where a camel ride carries you to a desert camp to witness an unforgettable sunset; thereafter, enjoy nomadic music around the campfire, gaze at a brilliant star-filled sky (with a stargazing app if desired), and spend the night in a luxury camp with king-size beds, private showers, and refined Moroccan décor. Finally, note that Erg Lihoudi can be extremely hot in summer, so we recommend visiting the Erg Chebbi dunes during the hottest months instead.
If you rise early, Amodo Tours ensures you can watch the sunrise transform the dunes’ colors and shadows, and then enjoy a long walk among the sands after breakfast before departing the camp. On the return, we stop at Tamegroute to visit its famed potteries, whose distinctive emerald glaze appears across Morocco, and to see the historic Quranic library with its exquisite handwritten manuscripts. Afterwards, we pass through the small covered lanes of the local medina, then continue north toward Tamnougalt Kasbah near Agdez; notably, this kasbah is one of the oldest in the Dra’a Valley and the southern region. Finally, by late afternoon Amodo Tours brings you back to Ouarzazate, concluding the journey.

We took the Ouarzazate to M’hamid excursion with Amodo Tours, organized by Simo, and it was an exceptional experience! The landscapes we crossed were breathtaking: impressive kasbahs, lush valleys, and endless golden dunes. Simo, our guide, was highly professional, attentive, and passionate, sharing with us the history and secrets of each place. The desert stay was magical, with a memorable sunset and a night under the stars in a comfortable Berber camp. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone wishing to discover the real Morocco.
