Itinerary
6 days tour from casablanca to marrakech

Day 1Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

At the indicated time, we will be waiting at the airport in Casablanca. From there, we will head to Rabat, the administrative capital of the country. In Rabat, enjoy a brief panoramic visit of the exterior of the Royal Palace and its beautiful gardens, as well as the Hassan II Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V.

After exploring Rabat, we will continue to Meknes, a city closely associated with the name of Moulay Ismail, the great sultan of the Alaouite dynasty. Here, we will visit the walled medina, the impressive Bab Mansour gate, and the bustling Hedim Square. Additionally, located 27 km from Meknes are the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis, where we will make a stop to admire this historical site.

In the afternoon, we will travel to Fez, the spiritual capital of Morocco. After a day filled with exploration, you will check into your hotel or riad for the night.

Day 2Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt

Welcome to a guided visit of the oldest imperial city in Morocco. Founded in 808 AD, Fes was the first political, religious, and cultural capital. We will begin our tour through the Golden Gates of the Royal Palace.

Next, from a high viewpoint, we will observe the wall that encloses the impressive and ancient Medina. After that, we will walk on foot, experiencing the sensations it awakens. During our stroll, we will discover mosques, madrassas, and religious sites until we reach the tanners’ quarter.

You will then have free time for lunch. Afterward, we will continue our visit to the artisans’ neighborhood. These artisans brought their knowledge from Spain and have maintained the Andalusian art and style to this day. As a result, Fes has rightfully earned the name “the city of artisans.”

At 1:00 p.m., we will finish the visit and head toward Ifrane, often called “the Moroccan Switzerland.” Upon arrival, we will explore the cedar forest, where we may have the chance to see monkeys in their natural habitat. Finally, we will continue our journey to Midelt.

Day 3Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will cross the port of Tizi-n-Talghomt on our way to Erfoud. Along the route, enjoy a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley, known for its palm groves and gorges. As we continue, we will arrive at Erfoud and make our way to the great dunes of Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi.

Next, we will switch from the 4×4 vehicle to camel transportation. The camels will take us at a slow pace to the jaimas, crossing the wide expanse of golden sand. During this trek, we will enjoy the beautiful landscape and the stunning colors of the sunset in the desert. This night will be special.

In the evening, we will sleep in nomad tents (jaimas) just like the Berbers do. Here, we will savor a traditional Berber dinner and enjoy live music. As we appreciate the spirit of the desert, we’ll be surrounded by an indescribable starry sky, rarely seen elsewhere. Finally, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – The Gorges of Todra – The Dades Valley

After breakfast, we will head to Rissani to visit the market and its famous donkey parking lot. This unique place attracts all the tribes and nomads of the desert who come to supply themselves.

Next, we will travel to Erfoud, where we will visit fossil quarries dating back over 380 million years. After exploring the quarries, we will continue to the famous Gorges of Todra. This location is a favorite for climbers and trekking enthusiasts.

Finally, we will conclude our tour in the Dades Valley. Enjoy a courtesy dinner and settle in for your accommodation at the hotel or riad for the night.

Day 5The Dades Valley – The Valley of the Roses – Ksar Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will head to the Dades Valley via the “Route of the Thousand Kasbahs.” Along the way, we will pass through the Valley of Roses, where the inhabitants create creams, soaps, and rose water. Next, we will reach Ouarzazate and visit the famous Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, which is declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.

In this spectacular setting, several famous movies have been filmed, including Gladiator, Obelix, and Sahara featuring Penélope Cruz. After exploring the kasbah, we will continue our journey through the port of Tizi N’tichka, which peaks at 2,260 meters above sea level. This drive offers the opportunity to appreciate oases, palm groves, and numerous kasbahs, along with the stunning landscape of the Middle Atlas.

As we walk through the tranquil mountains, you can observe the lifestyle of the Berbers. Each step reveals a new scene of daily life. Finally, we will arrive in Marrakech and check in to your accommodation at the hotel or riad for the night.

Day 6End of the Circuit and Transfer to the Airport

After breakfast at the hotel or riad and at the indicated time, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to your hometown.
