From Marrakech: Day Trip to Atlas Mountains & 3 Valleys & Camel Ride

1st stepOurika valley excursion

After 30 km of road towards the south of Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains begin to impose themselves on the horizon, a mixture of green and brown-earth colors will take you into another world totally different from the crowds of Marrakech. allowing you to discover a natural and very pleasant landscape.

2st stepAsni Excursion

After your walk in the Ourika valley and its Setti-Fatma village our driver will take you between the Atlas mountains to reach the village of Asni, on this road you will have the opportunity to discover panoramic landscapes that offers the Asni valley, with Mount Toubkal in the background and the green meadows at the foot of the Atlas you will be dazzled by the magic of this unique corner.

After passing the small town of Asni the path to the third stage of your excursion will take you to a typical mountain village called “Moulay Brahim” where you can take a short break before continuing your journey towards the Kik plateau.

3st stepExcursion to the Kik plateau

It is a desert area located south of Marrakech connecting Asni to the Lalla Takerkoust dam across the Atlas, a timeless place in deep Morocco offering panoramic views of the lake plain.

4st stepExcursion to Lalla Takerkoust Lake

Located 40 km from Marrakech, Lake Lalla Takerkoust is the ideal place to practice various aquatic and off-road activities, several providers have set up there during the last decade to offer fans of sporting activities quad, buggy or jetski days… On site you can spend a pleasant time in a restaurant by the lake and admire the sun setting behind the Atlas mountains.
