Upon your arrival in Casablanca, our representative will welcome you at the airport. First, you will visit the famous Hassan II Mosque, renowned for its stunning architecture and beautiful location by the sea. If time permits, you can also explore the Corniche, a scenic waterfront area lined with cafes and shops. This vibrant setting is perfect for a leisurely stroll. After your visits, you will check into your hotel and relax before the adventures that lie ahead.
After breakfast, we will depart for Rabat to visit its main monuments. First, we will explore the Oudaya Kasbah, followed by the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan Tower.
Later, we will continue to Chefchaouen, often called Chaouen. This charming village is located in the only intercontinental natural park declared a natural reserve of the biosphere. It hangs on the mountains and is painted white and blue. The village is known for its wise, kind, and respectful residents.
Chefchaouen offers visitors beautiful urban landscapes, precious examples of local crafts, and the peace and serenity that are hard to find today. You will check in at your hotel or riad for the night.
We will leave the charming Chefchaouen and head toward Fes, the first of the imperial cities. Fes is proud to host one of the oldest universities in the world, along with the first medical school.
On the way, we will visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Here, you can explore the well-preserved archaeological site. Afterward, we will enjoy a panoramic view of Moulay Idriss, the holy city, where we will stop for lunch.
In the afternoon, we will arrive in Fes. As we visit the walls and doors of the medina, relish the beautiful sunset. Alternatively, we may sip welcome tea from a terrace, enjoying views of the entire medina. You will be accommodated in a lovely riad for the night.
After breakfast, we will begin our guided tour through the new part of the city of Fes. First, we will visit the royal palace and the Jewish quarter (Mellah). From there, we will head to a viewpoint at the South Tower, where we can observe the entire medina and its mosques.
Next, we will tour the medina, which is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Its labyrinthine streets are structured by guilds of potters, dyers, and more. The hustle and bustle of its people will transport you back centuries. You will notice that Fes is a medieval city where time has seemingly stopped, especially at the “Magana Bounania,” which is over 1,200 years old.
In the evening, you will be accommodated in a charming riad.
We will head south to cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and reach Ifrane, often called “the little Moroccan Switzerland” because of its resemblance to that country. This charming town is symbolized by the Atlas lion, which once inhabited the area. A stone statue dedicated to this lion stands in the center of the city. We will make a stop here to take some photos.
Next, we will cross the famous cedar forests. During this journey, we will admire the Great Cedar Gouraud, the largest millenary cedar in the region. Additionally, you will have the chance to feed the hundreds of Gibraltar monkeys that live in this area.
Afterward, we will have lunch in Midelt. Following lunch, the terrain will become arid, showcasing spectacular geological formations and deep valleys, such as the Ziz Valley. Here, you will start to notice typical adobe architecture, palm trees, and distant kasbahs. We are approaching the doors of the desert.
As we pass through the city of Erfoud, the impressive dunes of Merzouga will come into view. After enjoying a welcome tea, we will settle into our rooms and then head to the nearest dunes next to the hotel. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Finally, a courtesy dinner will be served, and you will spend the night in a hotel located just a few meters from the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Today, we are already in the Sahara Desert, and it will be a day dedicated entirely to exploring the desert. After a hearty breakfast, we will begin our journey around Erg Chebbi, an expanse of sandy desert that features Morocco’s Great Dune, which rises over 250 meters high. This route also connects with part of the old Paris-Dakar rally and the mountains bordering Algeria.
Next, we will visit the oasis of Tissardmin, where you can find unique fossils that still exist in this region. Then, we will continue our route to a nomadic settlement. Here, you’ll learn some of the secrets of their lifestyle and customs.
Afterward, we will go to a panoramic point where you can admire a full view of Erg Chebbi. Then, we will arrive at the village of Khamlia, home to people from Mali. Here, we will relax with a cup of tea while enjoying a small concert of Gnawa spiritual music.
Finally, we will return to the hotel to start our camel caravan, which will take us into the heart of the dunes. Witness an unforgettable sunset from the back of your dromedary as we arrive at the camp. You’ll stay in Jaimas, traditional tents made with camel hair, just like those used by desert nomads. Enjoy a courtesy dinner and spend the night in Jaimas under a spectacular blanket of stars.
Since you are in the desert, it is recommended to wake up early. Walk to the highest dune nearby to enjoy the breathtaking sunrise and the relaxing landscape that nature offers. After this magical moment, we will return on dromedaries to the village of Merzouga.
Following a delicious breakfast, it will be time to say goodbye to the desert and head to Rissani. There, we will visit the local market if we are fortunate enough to coincide with one of the market days: Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday. Afterward, we will follow the road to Erfoud, where you also have the option to visit a fossilized marble factory.
As we continue, we will pass through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. After about one hour, we will arrive at one of the highlights of the High Atlas: the Todra Gorges. The channel of the Todra River has formed a gorge with vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty. It is a paradise for climbers and a unique place to explore.
In the afternoon, lunch will be served at the site, and a half-hour walk is recommended to see and enjoy the gorges in detail. Afterward, we will continue to the Dades Valley, also known for the Valley of Figs. We will pass Boumalne Dades and stop at the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations.
Finally, you will enjoy a courtesy dinner at the accommodation for the night.
After breakfast, we will enjoy one of the best views of the Dades Valley. We will do this from one of the most strategic viewpoints the mountains offer. From there, you can observe the numerous kasbahs dotting the landscape.
Next, we will cross a road lined with several interesting kasbahs until we reach the Kasbah of Aït Youl. Here, we will make a detour and venture through tracks deep in the Central High Atlas. Along the way, you will see mountains, canyons, and valleys, as well as caves where nomads still inhabit the mountains.
After that, we will arrive at the Valley of the Roses in Kelaat M’gouna. Enjoy lunch in the village before we continue our journey. In the afternoon, we will pass through the palm grove of Skoura and later arrive in Ouarzazate. Finally, enjoy a complimentary dinner at your accommodation for the night.
The morning is dedicated to the visit of Ouarzazate. First, we will explore the kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Film Studios. From there, we will go to the Ksar Aït Ben Haddou, where we will visit its famous kasbah, which is declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In this spectacular setting, many renowned films have been shot, including Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara with Penelope Cruz, and Jewel of the Nile.
Afterward, enjoy lunch on-site before leaving for Marrakech via Tizi N’Tichka. During this journey, we will visit the Argan oil cooperative. Here, you will see the process of oil production and learn about its numerous benefits for the human body.
Finally, arrive in Marrakech around 6:00 p.m. You will have free time to discover the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. In the evening, check in at your riad for a relaxing overnight stay.
Begin your day with a guided half-day tour of Marrakech, focusing on the enchanting Jardin Majorelle. This stunning garden, created by French painter Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s, is famous for its vibrant colors and exotic plants. As you stroll through the lush greenery, your expert guide will share insights into the garden’s history and the artist’s life. You can also visit the Berber Museum located within the garden, showcasing the rich culture and traditions of Morocco.
After your visit to Jardin Majorelle, enjoy some free time to explore the surrounding area or relax at a nearby café. In the evening, prepare for a romantic dinner in the Agafay Desert. Experience a magical atmosphere as you dine under a starlit sky, enjoying delicious Moroccan cuisine. This unforgettable dinner will allow you to savor the beauty of the desert while creating lasting memories.

I had been dreaming of discovering Morocco for nearly 30 years, so this trip was truly my “dream journey.”
From our very first contact, Simo understood how important this trip was to me. He created a complete itinerary based on my requests and enriched it with his own experiences to help me discover as much of “his Morocco” as possible. He was also very responsive to our needs and adapted the itinerary as our requests evolved in the months leading up to the trip. Throughout the planning and the tour itself, he was always there to advise us whenever needed and to answer our questions promptly. His positive spirit is contagious. I highly recommend working with him—you will not be disappointed!
Thank you for everything, Simo. Thanks to you, I experienced the most beautiful trip of my life. See you soon!
We were two girls from Quebec who wanted to explore Morocco, and Amodo Tours exceeded all our expectations. The trip was well organized, and everything went smoothly. The accommodations were beautiful riads, and transportation and visits ran perfectly. Considering all there is to see, a three-week trip is definitely worth it: the different cities, the desert, the beaches, the medinas, the mountain landscapes, the cooperatives (saffron, rugs, leather, textiles, wood, metal, body products, etc.), the film studios, the ruins, the museums… everything is worth visiting.
Simo, our organizer, and Hami, our driver, treated us like princesses and took excellent care of us. Definitely a trip to repeat, and we highly recommend Amodo Tours without hesitation.
