Discover the Berber settlements of the High Atlas Mountains on a scenic trek, this tour combining visits to the Ourika Valley, the Atlas mountain ski ‘resort’ at Oukaimeden and the Berber populated Sidi Fares valley, including a guided hike to the seven waterfalls from the village of Setti Fatma.

The excursion to the three valleys from Marrakech takes place in three stages:

1st step: The Ourika valley and its 7 waterfalls located an hour’s drive from Marrakech offering a beautiful landscape known by its wadi and its 7 beautiful waterfalls.

2nd step: The Val d’Asni dominated by the Atlas Mountains with a stop at Asni, Tahannaout and Moulay Brahim before taking a descent via the Kik plateau and arriving at the next stage.

3rd step: Lalla Takerkoust lake, on site you can practice various activities such as
quad, jet-ski, pedal boat or simply stroll along the edge of the dam and admire a magnificent sunset.

From Marrakech: Day Trip to Atlas Mountains & 3 Valleys & Camel Ride

1st stepOurika valley excursion

After 30 km of road towards the south of Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains begin to impose themselves on the horizon, a mixture of green and brown-earth colors will take you into another world totally different from the crowds of Marrakech. allowing you to discover a natural and very pleasant landscape.

2st stepAsni Excursion

After your walk in the Ourika valley and its Setti-Fatma village our driver will take you between the Atlas mountains to reach the village of Asni, on this road you will have the opportunity to discover panoramic landscapes that offers the Asni valley, with Mount Toubkal in the background and the green meadows at the foot of the Atlas you will be dazzled by the magic of this unique corner.

After passing the small town of Asni the path to the third stage of your excursion will take you to a typical mountain village called “Moulay Brahim” where you can take a short break before continuing your journey towards the Kik plateau.

3st stepExcursion to the Kik plateau

It is a desert area located south of Marrakech connecting Asni to the Lalla Takerkoust dam across the Atlas, a timeless place in deep Morocco offering panoramic views of the lake plain.

4st stepExcursion to Lalla Takerkoust Lake

Located 40 km from Marrakech, Lake Lalla Takerkoust is the ideal place to practice various aquatic and off-road activities, several providers have set up there during the last decade to offer fans of sporting activities quad, buggy or jetski days… On site you can spend a pleasant time in a restaurant by the lake and admire the sun setting behind the Atlas mountains.
