Day 1Marrakech – Imin Ifri Bridge – Demnate – Tassaout Valley

Depart from Marrakech early in the morning and journey towards the High Atlas Mountains, passing through the charming town of Demnate. One of the highlights of the day is a visit to the natural Imin Ifri Bridge, an awe-inspiring geological feature.

Enjoy a traditional lunch featuring your choice of either chicken tajine or rabbit tajine, savoring the authentic flavors of Morocco. If time allows, take a leisurely walk around the nearby villages to immerse yourself in the local way of life.

In the evening, relax and unwind at Tayda Guest House located in the peaceful Tassaout Valley, where you’ll spend your first night surrounded by the serene beauty of the mountains.

Day 2Tassaout Valley – Villages of Tofghine, Taghrout, Lhabous, Tasslnt, Thaghokht

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at 8 a.m. at Tayda Guest House, then embark on a full day of exploration through typical Berber villages nestled in the heart of the mountains.

Visit the village of Tofghine (1,850 meters above sea level), an authentic Berber village known for its traditional architecture and vibrant local culture. Continue your journey to the village of Taghrout, where you’ll discover the surrounding landscapes and witness local agricultural activities.

In Aït Lhabous, interact with the warm-hearted residents and learn about their customs, followed by a visit to the village of Tasslnt, where you’ll have the opportunity to admire the spectacular mountain views and gain insight into the mountain lifestyle.

Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature and continue your trek to the village of Thaghokht (1,900 meters above sea level), where you’ll be treated to expansive views of the landscape and fresh mountain air.

After an enriching day of cultural exchanges, camp overnight in the village of Thaghokht, surrounded by the tranquility of the mountains.

Day 3Thaghokht – Imgis

Start your day with a relaxed breakfast before visiting the village of Thaghokht. From there, enjoy a scenic 4-5 hour hike to Imgis, a remote paradise where nomadic Berber families reside.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the natural surroundings, before gathering in the evening for a campfire, traditional tea, and a delicious local meal either prepared on-site or hosted by a local family.

Your day ends with an overnight bivouac in Imgis, offering a chance to fully immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the area.

Day 4Imgis – Megdaz – Tassaout – Marrakech

After breakfast, depart for the village of Megdaz, where you’ll explore the unique architecture of collective granaries (“ighrem”) and learn about Berber history and traditions.

Enjoy a traditional lunch in Megdaz, followed by a visit to the local souks (if it’s a market day). This is a perfect opportunity to experience the vibrant local life, with fresh produce, livestock, and traditional trade practices.

Continue your journey with a visit to Aït Hamza, where you’ll have free time to explore and interact with the locals.

Finally, return to Marrakech for a well-deserved rest after an unforgettable trekking adventure through the majestic Tassaout Valley.
