6 Days Tour from Casablanca to Marrakech

Day 1Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

At the indicated time we will be waiting at the airport of Casablanca, we will go to Rabat, the administrative capital of the country, to make a brief panoramic visit through the exteriors of the Royal Palace and its gardens, the tower of Hassan II and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, We will continue to Meknes to visit the city linked to the name of Moulay Ismail, the great sultan of the Alouita dynasty.

We will visit the walled Medina, the Bab Mansour gate, and the Hedim square. At 27 km from Meknes, there are the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis, a stop to see Volubilis. In the afternoon we will travel to Fez, the spiritual capital of Morocco. Accommodation at the Hotel / Riad.

Day 2Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt

Guided visit to the oldest of the imperial cities of Morocco. Founded in 808 AD as the first political, religious, and cultural capital. We will begin the visit through the Golden Gates of the Royal Palace.

Later, from a high point, we will observe the wall that encloses an impressive and ancient Medina. Then we will walk on foot experiencing the sensations that it awakens. We will discover mosques and madrassas and religious places until we reach the quarter of the tanners.

Free time to have lunch and we will continue visiting the artisans’ neighborhood. They brought their knowledge from Spain and have maintained the Andalusian art and style until our days giving Fez the well-deserved name of the city of artisans.

At 1:00 pm we will finish the visit and continue towards Ifrane, (called the Moroccan Switzerland), we will arrive at the cedar forest. Stop being forced to see monkeys in freedom We will continue to Midelt.

Day 3Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will cross the port of Tizi -n-Talghomt on the way to Erfoud. We will have a panoramic view of the Ziz Valley with its palm groves and gorges. We will arrive at Erfoud to reach the great dunes of Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi.

We will change the traction of the 4×4 by that of the animal traction. The camels that at a slow pace will take us to the jaimas, crossing the wide expanse of golden sand, we will enjoy the wonderful landscape that the sunset offers us in the desert. This night will be special.

We will sleep in the dunes in nomad tents (Jaimas) as the Berbers do. Here we will enjoy a Berber dinner, music and we will appreciate the spirit of the desert with an indescribable starry sky as seldom seen. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

 

Day 4Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – The Gorges of Todra – The Dades Valley

After breakfast, we will go to Rissani to visit the market and its famous donkey parking lot. It is a unique place, where all the tribes and nomads of the desert come to supply themselves. Then we will travel to Erfoud where we will visit fossil quarries with an age superior to 380 million years.

We will continue until we reach the famous Gorges of Todra, a favorite place for climbers and lovers of trekking. We will finish our tour in the Dades Valley. Courtesy dinner and accommodation at the Hotel / Riad.

Day 5The Dades Valley – The Valley of the Roses – Ksar Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will go to the Dades Valley through the “Route of the Thousand Kasbahs”. We will pass through the Valley of Roses where its inhabitants make creams, soaps and rose water and then Ouarzazate we will know the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (Declared World Heritage by UNESCO).

In this spectacular frame several famous movies have been shot like Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara with Penélope Cruz. At the end we will pass through the port of Tizi N’tichka which reaches its peak at 2,260 meters above sea level, thus having the opportunity to appreciate the oases and palm groves, the numerous Kasbahs and the landscape of the Middle Atlas.

We will walk through the quiet of the mountains where you can appreciate the lifestyle of the Berbers. At each step we will discover a new scene of daily life. We will arrive in Marrakech. Accommodation at the Hotel / Riad.

 

Day 6End of the Circuit and Transfer to the Airport

After breakfast in the Hotel / Riad and at the indicated time, transfer to the airport to depart in a flight to your home town. End of our 6 days Casablanca Marrakech. We wish you a happy return home, and see you soon again in Morocco, inchallah.
